Pride And Joy Style Solo “Takeoff” Lick

This is a sample from the course Texas Shuffle Breakdown #1.

In this lesson you'll learn a Pride And Joy style soloing lick that fits right at the beginning of the main solo. It uses some sliding 2-note chords, and a fancy descending lick from Box 2 into Box 1. The odd timing makes it a little more challenging to play than if we were playing it right on the beat.
