Hideaway Sliding Chords Lesson

Oct 14th, 2009

One of my favorite parts of this Freddie King cover by SRV is the awesome sliding double-stop chords that occur a few choruses into the song. I've been playing this wrong for many years, but I decided to figure it out, and teach this lesson on it.

There is one consistent wrong note in this lesson. On the first set of descending chords, the correct thing to play is to slide from the 9th to the 7th fret on both the G and B strings, NOT to play the G string on the 8th fret as I demonstrate in the video. Plus my tuning is off just enough to make your ears hurt a little !
