What separates a memorable blues song from a forgettable one? One thing I've noticed is that memorable blues songs had a distinct rhythm, and the guitarist is disciplined in sticking to that rhythm for the entire song without straying too much out of boredom. This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way after realizing that I didn't really enjoy listening to my own performances because all of our songs started to sound the same. In this lesson I'll talk about what makes a rhythm distinct and why it is so important to be disciplined and stick to that rhythm in order to preserve the "distinct" nature of the song.

Some of the most valuable advice I’ve heard in my 60 years on the bandstand. Well done, my friend.
Thanks!
I totally agree with your comments in this lesson.A lot of “blues “ bands make this mistake. Incidentally I have had the Anson Funderburgh c.d in my collection for many years and love it.
