A defining characteristic of John Mayer's style is his ability mix the technique of Stevie Ray Vaughan with the phrasing of B.B. King. In this lesson we'll take a look at a lick that he plays at the very end of Bar 12 in the slow blues song ìOut Of My Mindî. This lick happens so late in the progression, that the turnaround is essentially finished. This lick fits in during the last beat of the last bar, and leads us right into the I Chord of the next chorus.
