Some philosophical ramblings about why I, and maybe other people, always feel as if we need to play fast to sound good. There's a difference between sounding impressive and sounding good, and a base fear of mine is that when I play slow, it won't sound as impressive as when I play fast. The key is to learn to focus on sounding good, not just impressive.
