Lollar Vintage Blackface Pickups

Details

I used to have these pickups in my SRV Strat, replacing stock Texas Specials. Compared to the Texas Specials, the Lollars definitely had a smoother tone, and were more transparent. They made the Texas Specials sound overly gritty.

These days I’ve switched all my Strats to Zexcoil pickups. They sound as good as any I’ve played and the hum-canceling design is unlike anything else available.
