As we head into the last two months of the year, I wanted to share some details about what to expect heading into the holidays. But first, a quick recap of what's happened so far in 2019.
2019 So Far
Clapton's Influence: Crossroad Blues
We entered 2019 still basking in the glow of the first TXBA Clapton soloing course Crossroad Blues, which was released in December 2018.
TXBA Locals Forums
In January I opened up some community forums for members of our TXBA Locals program.
Clapton's Influence: Old Flame
In March I published another Clapton soloing course: Old Flame, which was inspired by his dynamic live performances of "Old Love" during the 90s.
Pro Player v7.0
In May I released a new version of our online player (the TXBA Pro Player) for our Locals to use. Version 7.0 was much faster, and added the ability to use our looping, slow-motion and video zoom features with any YouTube video. Another big feature was Loop Stacking which allowed multiple Instant Loops to be stacked together to form a longer loop.
Pro Player 7.3
After a busy summer of programming, I released version 7.3 of our TXBA Pro Player with some impressive new capabilities, including the ability to bookmark YouTube videos in our Imported Videos library AND create/save your own Instant Loops for any video. Locals members could also access Instant Loops created by other Locals on YouTube videos.

These are the projects that are almost done, or coming by the end of the year.
5 Boxes Essential Licks - 2nd Edition
The course has been a best seller since it was released in 2008, but it lacks most of the modern editing features of my new courses. I have been working on a sizable update to this course for several months. I'll have a more detailed post about what's being changed and added, but there are two important things you need to know:
- These updates will make the course much easier to study, and the licks much easier to learn.
- This update might be my first TXBA Locals exclusive. I haven't made up my mind yet, but there's a strong possibility that I might not sell it as a standalone course.
Pro Player v7.4
I'll soon be releasing another update to the Pro Player that allows members to do precise editing of any Instant Loops they've created for any video.
Clapton "Layla" Acoustic Soloing Course
I'll be putting out a very cool Layla-inspired acoustic soloing course sometime in November. This will be my first acoustic offering and those of you who have been asking for an acoustic blues course for years will love it.
Clapton "Have You Ever Loved A Woman" Soloing Course
Rounding out the year will be a very nice slow blues soloing course in the style of "Have You Ever Loved A Woman", as covered by Clapton on many occasions.
