The Pure Tone Buffer is a high quality buffer pedal that protects (buffers) your pickups from the signal loss that comes from the added length of cable connecting your pedalboard to your amp. True bypass pedals allow your pickups to “see” a much longer cable when they’re disengaged, but a buffer keeps your cable length consistent by isolating your pickups from the “second half” of your total cable length.
