Sometimes, you start playing a lick without realizing that there aren't enough notes in the lick to fill all the space you intended. In those situations, it's helpful to know how to extend the length of a lick using notes you already played. In this lesson, I'll show you how to extend a common blues lick in Box 1 simply by repeating the last three notes of the lick.
