The Soul Food is a low-budget clone of the Klon Centaur. Priced under $70, this pedal is an incredible value. Because of how the Klon circuit mixes distortion with clean signal, it can function as a great clean boost. As you roll up the gain knob, more distortion is mixed in, gradually thinning your tone, making it more midrangey. The high end is a bit shrill and thin sounding, but below 3/4, it’s a solid pedal.
