The Planet Waves Auto-Trim Tuning Machines offer more control for fine adjustments, string locking and best of all - auto-trimming of strings. If you're looking to upgrade your tuning machines, I think these are a great option but be aware that they are NOT a direct fit for certain guitars. Stratocaster tuning machines have a different diameter, so the holes in the headstock need to be drilled out in order for these to fit. Just something to be aware of if you decide to upgrade.
