I've barely used my Fender Tube Amps in the past 8 years because they're just too loud. Recently I bought a Fryette Power Station PS-100, and it has brought back the passion I once had for using and recording with tube amps. In this video I'm going to show you why. I recorded a loop, then played it back through my Fender Dual Showman Reverb set to about 8.5. I recorded my JBL 2x15 cabinet at 5 different volume levels. Level 5 was straight into the cabinet (with the Power Station bypassed), and Level 1 was whisper quiet. Then I combined the clips into a single performance where you can listen to each change in volume and try to hear any differences. You won't find any, because the Power Station sounds identical at any volume level.
