This course will teach you how to solo like SRV in the song Couldn’t Stand The Weather, at three different skill levels.
Couldn’t Stand The Weather - in addition to being a fantastic song - is a terrific vehicle for expanding your soloing chops. There’s lot of movement around the neck and chord changes that are quite different than most of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s songs.
The solos you hear in The Weather lessons include many of the signature themes heard in Couldn’t Stand The Weather. There’s the shifting positions on the fretboard, the switching from minor to major and the syncopated strumming of the opening riff. These lessons will add new techniques to your soloing arsenal and familiarize you with one of Stevie’s coolest songs in the process.
