My goal for this project is to highlight members and customers who are studying my course Little Wing Deep Dive
Overview
I’m putting together a compilation of my members and customers playing “Little Wing”. Each person can submit a rhythm video, and a lead video (the rhythm video is required, the lead video is optional). Each video can be up to two choruses long. I will select the best parts from each video, and cut together a compilation.
I am looking to highlight players who have studied the chord options presented in Section 3, the chord embellishments presented in Sections 4 & 6, and the soloing path concepts taught in Section 5.
Players who demonstrate that they have learned the alternate chord forms, and learned to solo in places outside of Box 1 will be given preference. I am not looking for 30 or 40 players who are playing the same 3 or 4 chords, and playing the same licks in the same place on the fretboard. I am looking for variety because that was the purpose of the course.
Eligibility
- Anyone can submit videos.
- TBXA Locals Members get first preference.
- Customers who purchased the course get second preference.
- Other submissions will be used if there's still space.

Instructions
- Download the supplied backing track.
- Study the course, practice like hell.
- Record your best two choruses of rhythm and lead with the backing track playing through your headphones, so that the video only has the sound of your guitar.
- Upload your videos to Google Drive, Dropbox, or an unlisted YouTube video.
- Use the Submissions form on this page to submit the links to your videos.
Backing Track
This is a Little Wing backing track styled after Stevie Ray Vaughan's recording of the song. It has a laid-back 58bpm tempo. You will need to tune to E-Flat to play along. (I opted for this slower track than the faster Hendrix-style track because it is easier for more people to keep up with).
Submission Deadline
The deadline for submissions is March 31st.
Submission Guidelines
- You may submit one rhythm, and one lead video
- Each video may be up to two choruses in length.
- Record your video with the light in FRONT of you.
- Do not record with lights (or windows) behind you.
- Play the backing track through headphones.
- Your video should contain ONLY guitar.
- Your video links should be public or unlisted (I can't access videos that are private.)
