D’Angelico Guitar Giveaway Winner
Winner Oscar Gomez

It took a few weeks to notify the winner, confirm addresses, pack and ship the guitar, get some pictures, and gather some information. But today, I'm very happy to announce the D'Angelico Guitar Giveaway Winner: Oscar Gomez from Apple Valley, California.

I asked Oscar a few questions for this post, here's what he had to say.

How long have you been playing guitar?

15 Years.

Who are some of your biggest influences?

Albert Collins, Danny Gatton, SRV, Billy Gibbons and CCR.

What impact has Texas Blues Alley had on your playing?

I've been following you since StevieSnacks, so I would say a big role! Every time I had trouble with an SRV song, there you were on YouTube playing it note for note, you have great tips and your a phenomenal player, and your gear reviews are fantastic as well.

What do you think of the guitar?

It is a fantastic guitar. I have stayed up playing extra late nights since I got it. I've all ready written 5 new songs on it, it just has this warm beautiful tone. After a little neck and bridge adjustment, it's just a dream to play, I still cant believe I won it. Every time I see it in my band room, I get so overwhelmed with joy because I never thought I would own a D'Angelico Guitar - especially after playing their guitars at the last Winter NAMM. D'Angelico makes remarkable guitars. It is truly a blessing! Thank you again Anthony!

Congratulations to Oscar, it makes me very happy that a long-time viewer was able to win this contest. Here's to many more late nights full of beautiful D'Angelico inspired music.

And a big thank you to D'Angelico Guitars for working with me on this, for helping to promote it, and allowing me the chance to show off one of their fantastic instruments for all of you.

To recap everything that happened during the Giveaway promotion, you can see (and hear) the guitar in the following videos:
