The Wampler Ecstasy Overdrive (recently renamed to ‘Euphoria’) is one of the best, most natural sounding overdrive pedals I’ve ever played. It won’t give you that honky, nasal tone that a tube screamer will because it’s not that kind of pedal. But it will give you lush, sweet, transparent sounding overdrive ranging from light, to quite heavy. If I ever need to play through an amp that is either too clean or too powerful for me to overdrive, the Ecstasy allows me to get a tone I like no matter what.
