Tubescreamer mods are nothing new, but the EarthQuaker Devices Palisades offers an unprecedented number of mods inside of a single unit. This is much more than just a bunch of individual pedal circuits packaged behind a rotary switch, the circuit mods are grouped into separate controls. This gives you the ability to mix and match the circuitry of different mods, creating a ridiculous number of tones from a single pedal.

The Voice and Bandwidth controls alter the clipping and frequency response of the pedal. A bright switch allows you to add some extra sizzle, useful for any of the higher 4 “Bandwidth” settings (which tend to be very bass heavy). The input buffer control allows you to tighten and brighten the sound of the pedal, making it less sensitive to what comes before it in the signal chain.
